After the end of the program during the EnergiRike conference, Industrial Symbiosis Haugalandet invited to an Industry Safari.
There was a great deal of interest in the Industry Safari, and 40 enthusiastic participants were able to see for themselves how close several of the major industrial players are to Haugalandet.
From Haugesund, the bus drove to the neighboring municipality of Tysvær, and to Equinor's process plant at Kårstø and then through the 5000 acre Haugaland Business Park. From there it was a short journey through the tunnel under Karmsundet to Hydro Karmøy.
The Industrial Safari was hosted by the partners in Industrial Symbiosis Haugalandet; Equinor, Haugaland Business Park, Eramet, Gassco and Horizon Energy.
