Teaching teachers about battery production

This week, teachers from high schools in Haugalandet have visited Beyonder to learn more about battery technology and production.

The aim has been to share knowledge with each other and build an even stronger bridge between education and business.

The teachers, who came from Åkrehamn Videregående and Karmsund Videregående, appreciated learning more about battery technology and battery production, and found it particularly rewarding to talk to Beyonder's own operators about their experiences in this new industry.

- A significant trend in vocational education, especially in automation, is the move towards more factory production. Traceability and how all the processes fit together are also being incorporated into the curriculum. This visit helped us see the big picture, including what skills will be needed in the future," says Tor Einar Haugvaldstad, teacher at Åkrehamn Upper Secondary School.

Tiril Fjeld, General Manager of Haugaland Næringspark, is pleased that the educational institutions in Haugalandet see the value of having a close dialogue with the industry and its needs.

- We're proud that we have such forward-thinking upper secondary schools in Haugalandet that see that this will be an important industry in Norway in the years to come," says Fjeld.
