New head office for Vassbakk & Stol

The construction company Vassbakk & Stol is building a new head office in Haugaland Business Park!

Vassbakk & Stol is a specialist company for mass movement, excavation and blasting work, and has grown rapidly since its inception in 1969. The company is now wholly owned by Skanska, and CEO Richard Kvalevaag is looking forward to moving into new head office in Haugaland Næringspark.

– A strategic location

– We now have 700 employees and a turnover of NOK 3 billion in 2024. This entails a need for modernization and larger facilities. At Gismarvik we will be able to bring together all professional groups and we are setting ourselves up for further growth in a strategic location. The new building at Gismarvik signals an important step in the company's development and provides an opportunity to create a modern working environment that supports future ambitions. The new building will build on our strong foundation and strengthen our position in the market, says Kvalevaag.

Vassbakk & Stol currently has its head office in Kopervik on Karmøy and a branch office in Bergen. Skanska Construction is the contractor and is now starting work on the design and application processes. We will inform you in the future about the start-up, planned completion, the building's final design and content.

Another signal building

– We are of course very pleased that one of the largest construction companies in western Norway has chosen Haugaland Næringspark as a strategic location for its new head office. It is positive for the region that companies that are further developed and need more space to grow find the business park as a strategic place for this. The building will be located nicely together with, among others, Risa and Ølen Betong at the entrance to the business park, says General Manager of Haugaland Næringspark, Tiril Fjeld.
