Norcable to Haugaland Business Park

Norcable is growing rapidly and needs more space and more power. They are now moving to Haugaland Business Park.

Norcable was established at Håvik in 2017, and with solid international experience, good innovation processes and modern production facilities, the company has a clear ambition to produce the world's greenest aluminum cable for use in soil, air and underwater.

In 2022, just five years after its inception, Norcable had sales of NOK 64 million. This year, the company is aiming for NOK 100 million, and in 2024 the target is NOK 150 million. While the current factory hall has an area of 1,300 square meters, the company's growth plan for 2030 calls for a new permanent hall of 10,000 square meters, almost ten times the size.

The need for space is one of several reasons why the company is now moving to Haugaland Næringspark, the country's largest regulated industrial area.

- In addition, there is plenty of electricity, and we will be able to build a temporary factory hall while the application process for the permanent factory is ongoing. Everything is happening on the same site," says Norcable's general manager, Bengt Haugland.

In recent years, Norcable has supplied large quantities of cable to renewable energy production projects in countries such as Greece, France, Germany, Spain and Belgium. This includes several tens of tons a month for wind turbines, where the cable must hang from the unit in the tower and down to the ground.

General Manager of Haugaland Næringspark, Tiril Fjeld

- We are delighted to see more and more green industrial establishments here at Haugaland Næringspark. Norcable's aluminum cables are produced by 100% hydropower, and with a focus on innovation in product and production process, they challenge the industry to implement new and more sustainable solutions. Norcable will fit in very well at Gismarvik.
