Eide Bygg & Anlegg delivers turnkey modular buildings all over the country. The company has rented space in Haugaland Næringspark for some time, but last year bought five acres in the park, which they have paved with asphalt and set up one of their large modular buildings on.
Reuse
- We are committed to reuse and have 600 modules that we rent out across the country. In Stavanger, we had a modular building that was leased to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration for nine years. It was built to such a high standard that we received approval to move it permanently to Haugaland Næringspark. Here we will use it for our own offices and are also planning to rent it out," explains general manager Rune Eide.
The company is now expanding by a further 7 acres at Gismarvik, co-locating all its operations in Norway's largest fully regulated industrial park.
Better logistics and environment
- "We've previously had offices at Raglamyr and warehouses at various locations in the region. Now we get to co-locate everything in one place, which gives us much simpler logistics in addition to saving the environment from unnecessary diesel emissions," says Eide.
When it came to gathering their business in one place, it wasn't difficult to choose Haugaland Næringspark.
- "We are committed to operating sustainably and feel that Haugaland Næringspark is one of the places where most things will happen in Norway in the years to come. We want to be early adopters and are very pleased to have positioned ourselves here," emphasizes Eide.
The plan is to quickly build up the new area, which will provide the company with all the storage space it needs.
- "We've signed an agreement with a local contractor for the development of the new site, so we expect it to be ready quickly," says Eide.
Tiril Fjeld, General Manager of Haugaland Næringspark, is delighted that Eide Bygg & Anlegg is increasing its investment in Gismervik.
- It means a lot to us when existing customers expand. We are very pleased with Eide's development," says Fjeld.
