The leader of the Conservative Party, Erna Solberg, visited Haugalandet and Haugaland Business Park on Monday to get to know Norway's largest fully regulated business park better, and also to meet Beyonder to hear about their large-scale battery investment in the park.
The former prime minister listened to the park's general manager Tiril Fjeld and Beyonder's COO Steinar Lea, and was impressed by the enormous industrial area, with zoned areas for both battery factories and other green industries.
- It was impressive to see the good work that has been done in Haugaland Business Park to get it ready for the green transition in industry. The fact that five municipalities are collaborating on this is particularly nice. A lot of exciting things could happen here in the future," says Erna Solberg.
Earlier in the day, Solberg had visited Åkra Upper Secondary School, an important vocational school for the industry on Haugalandet.
- "It was great to have Erna visit, and good to see that she sees the great potential of our park and Beyonder's plans," says Tiril Fjeld.
