Expanding the team at Haugaland Næringspark

A lot of exciting things are happening at Haugaland Næringspark these days. General Manager Tiril Fjeld is therefore pleased to have Finn Sæther and Jarle Haukås on board to further develop and operate Norway's largest regulated business park.

Haugaland Næringspark is an industrial park of 5,000 acres, fully regulated for land- and energy-intensive industry, which is actively working to attract large-scale data centers, battery production and hydrogen production.

Tiril Fjeld has been general manager of the business park since the summer of 2019, and has now hired a team around her to strengthen the work. Finn Sæther has been appointed business developer, while Jarle Haukas is technical project manager.

Important expertise

Sæther has an engineering background from the Norwegian Armed Forces and in recent years he has worked with sales in the technology and IT industry, including at Konica Minolta and Glass & Låsservice.

- "I'm very pleased to have Finn on the team, and as a business developer he will be a strong contributor in the sales processes towards new establishments in the park," says Fjeld.

Jarle Haukås has extensive experience in the energy sector and construction, including from Statsbygg, Haugaland Kraft and Tysvær municipality.

- "Jarle plays an important role in day-to-day operations and is responsible for developing the infrastructure in the business park," says Fjeld.

The park for the new green workplaces

Norway's largest regulated business park is centrally located in the middle of a large industrial region. The park also has ample access to fiber and power, and the industrial gas from Kårstø passes by on its way to the continent. The park has its own harbor facility with a large deep-water quay close to Norway's busiest shipping lane and a short distance to the European market.

Several businesses have already been established in the business park, and with a focus on the circular economy and green energy, the five owner municipalities on Haugalandet, Karmøy, Haugesund, Tysvær, Bokn and Vindafjord, want the park to become Norway's green and sustainable answer to Silicon Valley.
