On Tuesday, May 21st, Haugaland Business Park welcomed the Norwegian-German Chamber of Commerce under brilliant summer skies!
Haugaland Business Park, a member of the Norwegian-German Chamber of Commerce, aims to foster business opportunities and knowledge sharing between Norway and Germany. The Chamber, an official representative of German business interests, plays a crucial role in advising on Norwegian-German economic relations.
Managing Director Michael Kern was pleased to see the park firsthand.
– It was very interesting to observe the park’s development, with its central location, quick processing times, and direct power access. I see numerous exciting opportunities for bilateral industrial cooperation in the region, especially concerning the green transition, Kern states.
Managing director of Haugaland Næringspark, Tiril Fjeld, was very pleased to ble able to introduce Haugaland Næringspark to the important chamber.
– For us, it is important to connect with European industry and business players. We are located in a region with significant resources and have ready-to-build industrial plots with excellent port facilities. Here, we plan for industries with significant European impact. For instance, Horisont Energi will transport CO2 from Europe to the Gismarvik CO2 Hub, co-owned by Germany’s E.ON. In addition to the ready-to-build industrial areas within the park, we also have Kårstø gas processing plant nearby. Thus, the business park is an ideal location for low-carbon hydrogen production and related industries. With a total area of 500 hectares, Haugaland Business Park has space for all this, explaines Fjeld.
