Several of Norway's largest industrial parks have joined forces in a new collaboration to strengthen the framework conditions and competitiveness for Norwegian industry.
In addition to Haugaland Næringspark, Raufoss Industripark, Mo Industripark, Herøya Industripark, Frier Vest, and Treklyngen are participating. The parks have a number of common challenges, and will, among other things, work to improve framework conditions related to several different areas:
- Power access: Ensuring stable and affordable energy for industrial growth.
- Land and environmental policy: Common front for better planning processes and sustainable development.
- Infrastructure and expertise: Develop modern solutions and attract the necessary workforce.
- Green transition: Collaborate on the major climate goals and decarbonization.
Representatives from the industrial parks recently met for a first joint workshop. It is clear that all industrial parks need faster processes for regulation and licensing, as well as ensuring sufficient access to energy and infrastructure for future industrial development.

– I usually say that what is good for Haugalandet is also good for Norway. This of course also goes the other way, and I see cooperation as one of our most important competitive advantages. Through this alliance, we are building a bridge between the leading industrial environments in the country. If we are to succeed with the green transition and attract major international establishments, we must speak with one clear voice about important framework conditions. I hope that a united front can help ensure political will to accelerate the development of power access and land configuration and lower the threshold for new, green industrial establishments, says General Manager of Haugaland Næringspark, Tiril Fjeld.
