Just over a year ago, the license for Statnett's 420 kV substation in Haugaland Business Park was granted. It was therefore extra special to have Minister of Energy Terje Aasland return to Haugaland Business Park this week for an update on developments in the park. The Minister was also accompanied by State Secretary Astrid Bergmål.
- The visitors received an update on both our industrial partnerships CCS Haugalandet and Industrial Symbiosis Haugalandet, and on the latest new establishments in the park. In addition, Bjørgulf Haukelidsæter Eidesen and Rune Halseid from Horizon Energy gave an update on the Gismarvik CO2 terminal and the new collaborations with, among others, Ecolog on the CO2 corridor between Norway and the Netherlands," says Tiril Fjeld's general manager.
The minister was impressed after the visit.
- "I'm delighted to see that Haugaland Business Park is well prepared for industry. Large regulated areas, electricity with new lines and station under construction, proximity to natural gas and a planned CO2 terminal. It's a very attractive business park with great opportunities," says the Minister of Energy.
The meeting was also attended by Mayor Monika Lindanger of Tysvær Municipality, Leiv Arne Marhaug of Karmøy Municipality, Ole Johan Vierdal of Vindafjord Municipality and Deputy Mayor of Rogaland County Svein Erik Innbjo.
