The building will be a signal building with all the latest in environmental technology for energy, and will be the first commercial building to rise in the business park.
The new building will be a total of 3000 m2 on 12 acres of land, and consists of 1950 m2 halls and 1050 m2 office space. The building will include a service and workshop department for large vehicles and a car wash. In addition, there will be some production of various concrete products.
The building will mainly be used by the companies in the Ølen Betong system, but it is planned that some of the office space will be rented out.
Future-oriented environmental building
The building will be constructed with modern facades in concrete elements, glass and aluminum.

- "We've been working on these plans for a long time, and it was important to create a modern and, not least, environmentally friendly building that will function optimally for our needs now and for a long time to come," says Svein Atle Berge.
- "We are very ready to build the first signal building in Haugaland Business Park," says Ingmund Egeland of Vest Entreprenør, who adds that the building will be energy class A.
- "The concept we're building here has been thought through from start to finish, using only modern solutions. Through participation in many projects in recent years, we have learned an enormous amount, which has now been concretized into this concept, among others. The agreement that has now been signed with Ølen Betong Gruppen fits perfectly into Vest Entreprenør's profile," continues Ingmund Egeland, project developer and marketing manager at Vest Entreprenør.
- The first two buildings have been completed at Forus, and we are now ready to take it over to this side of the fjord to Ølen Betong Gruppen," says project developer and founder of Vest Entreprenør Lars Berland.
First in Haugaland Nærinsgpark
Haugaland Business Park at Gismarvik is Norway's largest regulated business area, and Ølen Betong has been in the park for some time now.

- "Ølen Betong was the very first company to set up in Haugaland Business Park back in 2013, and it's incredibly exciting that they are now expanding their business and establishing such a large and beautiful landmark building at the entrance to the business park. Their focus on energy and environmental technology fits very well with our focus on green business development. In many ways, this will also be the starting point for us to see the buildings begin to rise in the park in the future, and for us to attract good jobs," says Tiril Fjeld, General Manager of Haugaland Business Park.
Ølen Betong was recently awarded both a railway contract worth more than NOK 250 million and an innovation prize for the reuse of concrete sludge.
Ølen Betong Gruppen AS is one of the owner companies behind Nordic Concrete Group and has its own factory in Murmansk, Russia. In 2018, Ølen Betong AS became part of Nordic Concrete Group, which has 60 concrete mixing plants and factories in all parts of Norway. Vest Entreprenør is a young, newly established turnkey contractor from Rogaland, but with a lot of experience in the development and implementation of turnkey contracts. The company's focus is on the development and implementation of combined buildings, commercial buildings and fish farms.

With its 5,000 acres, Haugaland Business Park is Norway's largest fully regulated business park, centrally located at Gismarvik by the E39. The park is located in the middle of the inner fillet of Norway's industrial adventure, and is particularly well-suited to land- and energy-intensive industries. The park has port facilities with a deep-water quay, ample access to fiber and power (500MW) and the industrial gas from Kårstø passes Haugaland Industrial Park on its way to Europe. The opportunities for synergies and circular economy are many.

The project is subject to approval by the municipality, but design work has already begun and the aim is to start as soon as practically possible. Estimated construction time is just under one year.
