Several of the region's key companies presented plans and upcoming needs within construction, infrastructure, electrical, transportation, operations and maintenance. The goal was to give local businesses insight into upcoming assignments and how they can position themselves to take part in the development.
New projects in the business park
Haugaland Næringspark CEO Tiril Fjeld provided information about several planned development projects in the park in the coming years. These include a new road to atNorth's data center site and the preparation of new industrial areas.
Data center worth 11 billion kroner
atNorth presented plans for its new data center in Haugaland Næringspark. The first construction phase represents an investment of NOK 11 billion and will create significant activity during the construction phase, in addition to new jobs when the facility is operational.
Several major projects
Fagne also presented plans for a new transformer station in Haugaland Næringspark. Equinor, Karmsund Port and Hydro Karmøy provided information about their current projects and future needs.
The meeting clearly showed that the investments now being made in Haugalandet will create significant activity and good opportunities for local businesses in the years to come.
