Seminar on the realization of CCS in Rogaland

On Thursday, April 10, CCS Haugalandet organized an evening seminar in Nordsjø Kontorpark in Haugesund, to provide an update with the latest news from the collaboration and partners.

CCS Haugalandet is now in the process of phase 2 of the industrial collaboration, where work is continuing to find the most cost-effective transport solutions for CO 2 , both for the industry as a whole and for each individual industrial player.

Managing Director of Haugaland Næringspark, Tiril Fjeld, opened the seminar with an introduction and background to the collaboration and why Haugaland Næringspark chose to take the initiative and continues to be a driving force for CCS Haugalandet.

All partners in the project – Equinor, Eramet, Gassco, Hydro, Carbonor, Horisont Energi, Forus Energigjenvinning, Gassnova and Haugaland Næringspark – each held presentations where they shared relevant news and perspectives from their companies.

The seminar was rounded off with project manager Karoline Sjøen Andersen briefly reviewing the latest results from an extended technical-economic study of various transport value chains in Rogaland, conducted by Sintef Energi. The results will now be reviewed in depth and discussed, before more details can be shared at the next seminar.

In summary: The partners, who mainly represent existing and planned new industry in Rogaland, are actively working to find the most cost-effective solutions to realize a CCS value chain!
