Opening of the Risa building

On Saturday, August 17, Risa opened its beautiful new signal building in Haugaland Næringspark.

During the day, Risa hosted an open day with entertainment for children and adults, and pizza and ice cream for those attending. In the evening, there was a big opening party with Rune Bjerga, Busserulls and fireworks!

- "It was great to formally open the ribbon for our new signal building in the business park, and the building marks Risa's commitment to Haugalandet. There are currently around 100 jobs associated with the building, and there will be more to come. We're setting ourselves up for the future with this establishment and couldn't have found a better location," says Risa's head of strategy, sustainability and communication, Marianne Gudmundson.

Finally together in the best place

Risa is currently in the process of moving in.

- "It's going to be great to have a permanent home for all our employees in a state-of-the-art building in the best location, rigged for further growth. It's only eight years until Rogfast opens, and with all the exciting things happening in the park and on Haugalandet, we want to be in the best place," says Jon Erlend Sørhaug, department manager for Risa on Haugalandet.

In recent years, Risa Haugalandet has been somewhat scattered, with its main base in a barracks in Karmsundsgata in Haugesund.

- "Now everything is in one place, we'll have a permanent home - and we're raising the standard. It's going to be great," he says, pointing to the excellent canteen and a dedicated gym as some of the benefits of the new building. "This is important for job satisfaction and further recruitment. Risa is a proud apprentice company, and we're ready to take on more new apprentices in the years to come. Most of them stay with us and quickly rise through the ranks," says Sørhaug.

Great conditions

Risa's new signal building was constructed by Vest Entreprenør on an 11,000 square meter section of Ølen Betong's property at the entrance to Haugaland Næringspark. The new building is a 3,000 sqm combination building with solar cells on the roof and several energy wellswhich helps to give the building an A energy rating.

Of the 3,000 square meters, 1,800 square meters will be a hall and 1,100 square meters will be used for offices. The new building will be the headquarters for Risa AS in Haugalandet, as well as Rental.one, Alfa dekk and Jostein Myge.
